Dr. Rupa Mahadevan, M.D. FAAP

I am a board certified Pediatrician and completed my medical training at George Washington University where I pursued a specialized track in integrative medicine. I completed my pediatric residency in Chicago and went on to pursue a clinical fellowship  at Osher Center for Integrative medicine-Northwestern Medicine.  I am now enrolled in the Arizona center for Integrative Medicine program and will graduate this year. I currently practice as a primary care physician at Lurie Children's Primary care.  I built this home made website (just like my recipes) to offer patients basic knowledge to stay healthy! I have a hunger for sharing knowledge and a thirst for clean eating and a clear mind. I co-facilitate culinary medicine at the medical school and I am trained in mind-body medicine. I am passionate about introducing healthy food to children as well as instilling children with the tools they need to stay focused and resilient during periods of physical, mental, or emotional stress.   I  believe every parent and child should have access to resources utilized in integrative medicine. I enjoy cooking, yoga, sound healing, and animal therapy.

Nandini Mahadevan, J.D. LL.M

is my amazing mother who is a lawyer with a passion for cooking global cuisines. She creates healthy recipes that are filled with fresh ingredients and herbs. She was inspired to create nutritious meals when she was working a busy schedule and still provided my sister, father, and I with delicious and flavorful home cooked meals. She strives to make her recipes easy to follow and ready to eat within 30 minutes. She inspires most of my recipes on my blog! With her strong spiritual faith she taught my sister and I the importance of self care, self confidence, and compassion. I often take a spiritual history with my patients as she taught me that faith is one of the best pillars to lean on during  difficult periods.
